Refund Policy – Midland Auto Repairs

Welcome to Midland Auto Repairs. We aim to provide professional automotive diagnostics, ECU repair and auto electrical services with high standards of workmanship and customer care.

By using our services, you agree to the following refund terms.

1. Diagnostic Charges

Diagnostic and testing fees are non-refundable once work has been carried out.

This includes:

• Vehicle diagnostics

• ECU testing

• Bench testing

• Electrical fault tracing

• Programming and coding services

• Module inspections

Diagnostic time, labour and technical expertise are chargeable regardless of repair outcome.

2. Repair Services

Refunds are generally not available for completed repairs where:

• The repair has been completed successfully

• Additional unrelated faults are later discovered

• Incorrect information was provided by the customer

• External vehicle faults remain outside the repaired component

If a repaired unit develops the same fault within the warranty period, we will inspect and repair the unit where applicable.

3. Non-Repairable Units

Some electronic modules or ECUs may be beyond economical repair due to:

• Severe water damage

• Fire damage

• Corrosion

• Previous failed repair attempts

• Internal processor failure

Where a unit is deemed non-repairable:

• Testing charges may still apply

• Return shipping costs may apply

• No repair warranty will be provided

4. Customer-Supplied Parts

We are not responsible for faults caused by:

• Incorrectly supplied parts

• Incompatible components

• Incorrect installation

• Existing vehicle wiring faults

5. Shipping & Courier Costs

Shipping and handling costs are non-refundable unless caused by our error.

Customers are responsible for securely packaging all items sent to us.

6. Warranty Claims

Warranty claims must:

• Be reported within the warranty period

• Include proof of purchase

• Allow us to inspect the repaired item

Warranty does not cover:

• Water ingress

• Physical damage

• Incorrect installation

• Vehicle wiring faults

• Voltage spikes

• Tampering or unauthorised repair attempts
